In an online Technical Communication class, ETC 408, Technical Editing, the class partnered with the University of Trieste, located in Trieste, Italy. We were one of many such partnerships. More about the TAPP project can be found here.
All communication with the team happened via Google tools, chat, docs and hangouts. The Italian team to provided a rough translation from Italian to English of a document, and then I provided localization and grammar assistance to then output a polished article for a simulated client magazine.

We also had to create after action reports, that we shared with each other as well as with both supervising professors. They detailed what work was done by each individual in a standardized matrix, and also added overall impressions that we had on each other’s work. I include the compiled reports here:
